Attendance <\/b><\/span>
Please do not call the office when your child is absent, an absence note can be<\/span>
turned in when the student returns to school. Parents you may communicate<\/span>
with your child\u2019s teacher through e-mail at any time.<\/span><\/p>

Shared Parental Responsibility Policy<\/b><\/span>
The St. Johns County School District recognizes that in divorce cases where parents have shared parental responsibility, it is our belief and hope that parents will be good role models and abide by the agreements in the Court approved documents. Julington Creek Elementary will no longer attempt to interpret Court documents unless there is a restraining order preventing a parent from taking his\/her child. Both parents will have equal access, unless specifically prohibited in an official Court document, to their child and his\/her educational program. Concerns about custody and visitation should be handled between the natural parents or guardians and not involve the school in these issues.<\/span>
<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Campus\/Classroom Visitors<\/b><\/span>
All visitors to the school during school hours must<\/b> be cleared as a volunteer<\/b><\/i>. <\/span>
In the past the decision to have a person cleared as a “visitor” or “volunteer” was a school decision. It is now a district-wide policy to assure that each person coming to the school during school hours be cleared as a volunteer prior to being admitted. This includes coming to school to have lunch with a child or for a teacher conference <\/span><\/p>

Participation on Field Trips:<\/b><\/span>
In order to take part in any aspect of a school’s field trip, all participants must be a cleared school volunteer<\/b>. This includes processing through a national offender database and a criminal background check. This means that a person cannot “follow the bus” to the location, or meet the group at the destination. Thanks for supporting our students\u2019 safety.<\/span><\/p>

<\/a>Fund Raisers at Julington Creek<\/b><\/span><\/span>
We collect Box Tops, Campbell Soup labels, old cell phones, and used ink cartridges year round to raise money for JCE. Turn in items to the front office or send them in to your child’s teacher.<\/span><\/p>
